A fine Frenzy


Alison Sudol também conhecida como A fine Frenzy, é uma cantora, compositora e pianista americana. A ruiva além de linda tem uma voz ótima e faz uma mistura de sons super fofos com influencias poéticas e líricas. Suas letras, sempre com temas emocionais. Alison sempre adorou teatro, por isso o nome ”A fine Frenzy”. Para quem não sabe, esse é um trecho retirado de uma das obras de William Shakespeare: “O sonho de uma noite de Verão” (The poet’s eye, in a fine frenzy rolling, Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven/ O olho do poeta, num delírio excelso, passa da terra ao céu, do céu à terra, e como a fantasia dá relevo a coisas até então desconhecidas, a pena do poeta lhes dá forma, e a essa coisa nenhuma aérea e vácua empresta nome e fixa lugar certo). Ela se lançou a pouco tempo no mundo da música, para ser mais exata, em 2007, com o álbum One Cell in the Sea, e o segundo saiu no ano passado, chamado Bomb in a Birdcage. Lentas ou agitadas, todas suas músicas se encaixam, com o momento que estamos vivendo ou já vivemos.


 

Ouvindo pela primeira vez, as musicas de Alison e Cia. mostram a inteligência melódica que nos acostumamos a esperar de bandas consagradas, mas não chegam a emocionar. Algumas, no primeiro contato, parecem até ingênuas demais. Mas a cada nova sessão, o disco melhora, e você vai dando, sem perceber, mais passos para longe do quebra-cabeças. E o que fica na cabeça é a imagem completa, perfeita, sem remendos ou falhas.

E é essa a sensação boa de ouvir o Fine Frenzy. Cada repeat é mais satisfatório que o anterior, e de repente você se vê mergulhado no universo de Alison, enternecido com seus falsetes e suas melodias Coldplayanas, todas sustentadas por uma enxurrada de acordes menores que, por muitas vezes, fazem sua espinha arrepiar.Vai lá.

Depois de ouvir umas 5 vezes, me diz o que você achou. Se você não tem preconceito com vocais femininos, vai fundo. É pop, sim, mas é pop excelente.

Chris Garneau


Seus trabalhos são delicados, doloridos e extremamente confessionais. O tempo que passou aprendendo a tocar piano durante a infância trouxe resultados: Chris toca o instrumento maravilhosamente, além de compor e cantar tão bem quanto, alternando momentos de inconformismo com uma fragilidade emocionante. É o tipo de música que preenche um ambiente quando toca e chama a atenção pelas suas nuances e beleza. Música de depressiva, sim, mas pra sofrer com classe (adoro músicas depressivas) .

Obs:
• Destaque: Les Lucioles en re Mineur e Black Hawk Waltz canções do seu disco, “El Radio”, lançado em Julho de 2009.
• Gosto muito da beleza física do Garneau. É tão magrinho e bonitinho. :)
